"I'm Not A Robot", by Chris Luther

Updated: Mar 18

The release of “I’m Not A Robot” is a part of a continuing project from Chris’s solar punk Album. This song about the struggle for individualism in the times of artificial intelligence. It is a rebellious song written to reach the millions of people who feel over worked and out of touch with their natural side. I used vivid language to depict the machine like “on the job” experience for the verse and natural human and animal elements for the chorus.

“I’m Not A Robot” , by Chris Luther

They kicked the can

For too long and

Now I must

Walk away

Theres not enough hours

In a day

Not enough life

To give away

I have a spirit that’s

Wild and free so

You can keep all your grease

I’m not a robot

Rusty gears and

Silicone

Industrial

Cutter blade

Axle grease

Forward drive

Mechanical

Red light

I have a spirit that’s

Wild and free so

I am ambitious and will succeed

I’m not a robot

You can squeeze all you want

You’ll never get blood from a stone

It’s just me just me

Human being human being

I’m not a robot

Aching hands

Move back and forth

I pull the lever

Things come out

Box up for shipping

Bar code scan

Computer freeze

On screen

I have a spirit that’s

Wild and free

I feel the sunshine and the wind

I’m not a robot

You can squeeze all you want

You’ll never get blood from a stone

It’s just me just me

Human being human being

I have a spirit that’s

Wild and free

So you can keep all your grease

I’m not a robot

I have a spirit that’s

Wild and free

So you can keep all your grease

I’m not a robot

I’m not a robot

I’m not a robot

I’m not a robot
